Grinch Brownies are just "grinchy." It's the combination of rich chocolate and mint that ensures the heart of any grinch will grow at least three sizes.
* Ingredients:
°1 9 x 13 boxes of brownie mix
°26 Oreo mint biscuits, sliced
°2 c white chocolate chips
°1/2 c heavy cream
°1/4 teaspoon mint extract
°4 drops of green food coloring sheets
° hot red candy
* Directions :
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a 9" x 13" baking dish with parchment paper. Sit aside.
Prepare the brownie mixture according to the instructions on the package.
Quarter 16 Oreo cookies and mix with the brownie mixture.
Cut the remaining Oreo cookies into quarters and place them in another bowl. Sit aside.
Spread the mixture evenly in the skillet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Check the brownies to see if they are fully cooked.
Once baked, place the baking tray on a wire rack to allow the brownies to cool.
Bring a saucepan full of water to a slow boil.
Placing heat-safe bowl on saucepan simmering water.
Pour white chocolate also heavy cream to bowl. Stirring constantly to melt. Putting white chocolate chips also heavy cream mix in the pot, off the heat.
Add mint extract with stirring.
Now add a few drops of green food colouring. Stir well until combined. (You can add more peppermint extract, up to ½ teaspoon.)
Quickly pour the ganache over the brownies.
Sprinkle the rest of the chopped Oreo over the ganache. Sprinkle on red candy.
Cool the brownies, and let the ganache harden for at least an hour.
Cut the brownies into plates.
