This is a recipe that has been passed down through the family from generation to generation for over 200 years in my family. It was originally made from venison, but has been adapted over time to reflect current eating habits.

*Ingredients :

°2 pounds of ground beef
°2 tbsp. a tablespoon of water
°1 c. 1 tablespoon of milk
°1 cup rusk
°1 chopped onion
°1 chopped carrot
°1 small Granny Smith apple, cut into cubes
°1 egg

*Preparation steps :

Preparation: 20 minutes › Cooking: 1 hour and 30 minutes › Preparation: 1 hour and 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir with your hands to distribute ingredients evenly. Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer to a deep baking dish. Cover it with foil.
Bake for 1 hour. Remove tin foil and cook until center is no longer pink, about another 30 minutes.
