Lasagna Stuffed Chicken


°5 boneless chicken breasts
°1 egg
°15 ounces ricotta cheese
°2 teaspoons minced garlic
°2 tsp Italian season
°2 cups shredded and divided mozzarella cheese (1 and 1 cup)
°1 1/2 cups marinara (divided, 1 1/2 cups)
°Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
°Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

* instructions:

The first step:
Preheat oven to 400*
Make a slit in each chicken breast without cutting it whole
The second step:
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup mozzarella. Stir until well blended.
Using the spoon, spread the marinara on the inside of the top and bottom slits
Third step:
Put a tablespoon of the ricotta mixture into the slit of each chicken piece
Fold the top back over the bottom of the chicken
The fourth step:
Spoon more marinara on each chicken breast
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the chicken
Fifth step:
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through, temperature reading 165*
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and another sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Served with salad or grilled vegetables!
