Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread


°1/2 c butter
°2/3 c white sugar
°2 eggs
°1 c of milk
°1/2 teaspoon baking soda
°1 c cornmeal
°1 c all-purpose flour
°1/2 tsp salt


 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 8-inch square skillet.
Melting butter in  skillet. Remove from heat and stirring with sugar. Quickly add eggs & beat to well mixed. Combine curd & baking soda and stirring mixture into the pan. Stir in the cornstarch, flour, and salt until well combined and few lumps remaining. Pour mixture to prepared skillet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 min
